Programme 2008
The program of the Rêves d’automne: Festival of Landscapes in Painting. is the result of 17 years of work driven by its organisers's passion for art and painting. Over time, this event has progressively focused on figurative painting of landscapes, which is the true trademark of painters that got their inspiration from Charlevoix across the years.
Last year, to highlight the designation of Baie-Saint-Paul as Cultural Capital of Canada 2007, Rêves d’automne invited 10 artists from the 10 Canadian provinces to each create, over a period of 10 days, an art work representing their home province. These 10 art works are now being shown in an exhibition travelling across Canada. The exhibition opened in Baie-Saint-Paul, Québec, in September 2007, and will close in Nanaimo, British Colombia, in October 2008.
