Lecture entitled "Kathleen Daly and George Pepper" and exhibition of their works Territoires humains (Human territories)
The works of the couple formed by Kathleen Daly and George D. Pepper are all at once audacious and very sensitive. After exploring the world, they put down their easels in Charlevoix for a number of years. A landscaper and war artist during the Second World War, George D. Pepper was a founding member of the Canadian Group of Painters. His companion, Kathleen Daly has shown a surprising originality in style as well as a quasi-anthropological vision in her depictions of rural scenes and her touching portraits of local and other country folks. Martin Labrie, commissioner of the exhibition entitled “Territoires humains” and guest speaker, is a professor and art historian.
The exhibition will be presented until January 4, 2009.

A fun and enriching activity for budding painters who will have free access to the art materials necessary for their artistic creation. This day could trigger the beginning of a new passion! This year, the young artists will participate in a contest. The three first prize winners will receive painting lessons from a professional artist.

At the heart of creation with "A Street to Paint"
Again this year, the painters will be present and ready to make this a very colourful day. On this occasion, the very picturesque Saint-Joseph Street becomes a showcase for painters from all over Québec whose talent and renown shine brightly far beyond borders.
Come and observe artists in full production. Maybe you will want to purchase an original creation at the famous Auction scheduled for 3:30 p.m. All through the day, poetry and painting will fraternize. Verses will be composed as brush strokes provide inspiration for the poet. A flight of poetry will conclude this very special day!
